Who We Are

The Baltimore Browns Backers were founded in 1989 by Nancy Hayes-Gary and Jeff Gary. Natives of Ohio, Nancy and Jeff sought others in the area who longed for the cheers from the Pound. They missed watching the Brown and Orange. They knew there had to be others in the area that missed the Browns too!

The Baltimore Browns Backers were born!!!

Their first home was at an airport bar in a Baltimore suburb. That year they had more than 25 members and were growing! The following years proved the loyalty of Browns fans in the Baltimore area. At the end of the 1995 football season, we were 165 members strong. Our last meeting place was at a bar in Baltimore City. We consistently had more than 75 members per game.

Then 1999!!!

The Browns are BACK and have a Brand New Rival. The Baltimore Browns Backers have regrouped and this time, From Behind Enemy Lines.

Where We Meet

The 51^st Backers Club has gone though some changes, including President, Logo and Attitude, and we are as strong as ever. With more than 100 members, we meet every game day at Glory Days in Towson. Glory Days is a family friendly Bar and Grill that in my opinion has the BEST WINGS in the area. We have our own section which is a covered and weatherproof porch, and as we grow, we are taking over the bar area. I am currently working with the management of Glory Days to get card carrying members a discount on their bill. We have a halftime raffle for Browns Items and 50/50 charity raffle.
